I can't stand these so-called "journalists". Came from a day and worked with journalists who knew the meaning of the word integrity..the best were self-educated mavericks and NZ had a deserved reputation for producing them. These days who knows what they are churning out from the "journalism schools" but I can't imagine they would be up to much.....Paddy whathisname is another...God help us.

This is vaguely reminiscent of when NZME CEO Michael Boggs went to a company fancy-dress themed event dressed as a person who is dark-skinned. To enhance his costume Boggs used a darkening agent on his face. Someone sent a photo to Newsroom and they ran a piece accusing Boggs of blackface.
My son gave up journalism school about 10 years ago because of the very poor quality of the students and lecturers, saying 'I really fear for journalism in the future.'
On a different note it concerns me greatly that there appear to be a number of 'unnamed' military personnel prepared to talk to the media trying to slur a senior officer. Would one trust these people to defend our country?
Penfold to my mind has lost complete credibility with going to the dark side.
It is time Goldsmith pulled funding for the PIJF and let the media sink or swim.
