The lack of imagination and competence in govt is astounding. The right to silence does not need be tinkered with when there are perfectly applicable laws in regard to Perverting the Course of Justice. There was some poor kiddie (?Nia Glassie?) that was killed by being placed in a clothes dryer, and the whole family remained silent. Why weren't they prosecuted for perverting the course of justice? One must admit that this approach does not fix the "self-incrimination" catch. Nevertheless, had the entire family been charged with perverting justice, AND conspiracy thereto, it would have sent a clear message ; We have rights, but we also have obligations.
Sadly, whenever there is a child killed who has a smidgen of Maori blood the family put up seemingly impregnable barriers to protect the perpetrators and scream racism.
I think there’s truth in the notion that, for bozos like Luxon, the prospect of being called “racist” is nightmarish such that they back off initiatives, such as mandatory reporting of child abuse, that might expose them to “racist” labelling from neo- Marxists
The double standard for holding white vs brown folk to account is glaringly obvious. Where’s the accountability for all the Iwi-affiliated healthcare or other Govt contract providers? They’re all so petrified of being called ‘racist’ that fractionals have been given the soft touch for years (recall John’s Jagoose advice to Police article …)
It seems to be that the old Maori practice of infanticide is well alive in New Zealand. Surely is time to put the perpetrators of this unholy practise behind bars where they belong.
Nice one John. We’ve betrayed all these innocent wee babes out of selfish fear at being labelled ‘racist’. Just tragic. The stats are brutally clear, baby bashing is a ‘Maori’ thing. Colonise all the victimhood you want, but ultimately some feral still beats an innocent baby to death. That’s sick. And steps must be taken to hold these savage c***s to account. Triple the sentences while you are there. Our tolerance of violence, most deeply imbued in folk of ‘warrior’ ancestry, is daft and needs urgent attention. Babies (and folk in general) have an inalienable right to not be beaten to death.
I’m unashamedly “Islamophobic” Yvonne. What sane person who cherishes freedom and democracy, women’s rights etc isn’t justifiably fearful of the Muslim aspiration for a global caliphate?
John, just wondering about this bill. Does it make it an offence not to inform the police on your spouse or partner if you are aware they've smacked a child on the bottom since that is also an offence?

Correct, but you forgot that National totally lack a backbone and wear all the knee pads out when dealing with the Maori Mafia.
Well said as usual John! ‘Mafia’ is a most apposite moniker for these greedy fucks.
I haven’t forgotten that John. I’ve known it all along

Pathetic.

Time to rob magic words like 'racist' and 'bigot' etc of their power. Fear of being called these words is holding us all back. Great piece John.

You and me both. It’s an appalling ideology.

A great outline of what is a heartbreaking stain on the society in which we live.
